Top 9 Best Restaurant in the World: Quintonil and Farewell to Mexico

When we were in Cartagena, Colombia, we had the chance to dine at one of LATAM’s best restaurant, Celele.
It was a great experience that we wanted to do again, and so we had the bright idea of looking up top restaurants in the country we are in.
Consistently in the Top 50 Best Restaurants in the world!It's a small space, but thankfully they took our reservation. Lucky!I had just bought my Dyson before this so yay, instant makeover!The menu for October 13, 2022.My date, I'm so happy we get to experience these things together!Requested to not use the grasshopper salt...I didn't know that it was the chef's girlfriend who designed Quintonil's drinks!Their ingredients are local to Mexico, and I've never had anything like this. This has cactus.Smoked heirloom tomatoes, avocado, quesillo dressing WITHOUT THE GRASSHOPPERS, Oaxacan herbs.So good, we love the flowers. :DHuauzontles with Chiapas Cuadro Cheese, amaranth and tomato ragout.I had the roasted chicken over the charcoal, macadamia nuts mole, peach, pickled clams...We were gifted with a free dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary :DAwwWe were also given the chance to enter the kitchen and take photos with Chef Jorge and his staff! 10/10 would recommend this place.It was an amazing experience and hope to be back at a different season!Thank you, Alex, for this experience!Next door, I was reminded of my sister!
I didn’t realize I had more photos from Mexico. I thought I was only making one more post just about our experience in Quintonil!
However, we only had a few more days left in Mexico and here’s what I had been up to:
Waking up early looking for anywhere to get my haircut. Entered an empty mall and thankfully there were Mexican aunties willing to cut my hair. :DIt really was an empty commercial mall...I LOVE MEXICAN BREADS AND PASTRIES! This was bomb.Was walking around the park nearby when I saw this kitty. There's a video of this on my Instagram!I remember organizing bazaars.. Always a fun event.And yes, halloween!Dia de muertos!Mexican police everywhere :DLots of handicrafts available.Ladies doing their art!Encountered lots of photoshoots, maybe for their quinceañeras?Need to get used to my airwrapMAS PAN!Exploring more of the neighborhoodI guested for the first time for a TV show in Hawaii! And the PS5 box was useful as a stand.Mexico x IndiaWe came back to this Indian place that Alex loves!We wanted to eat Korean for dinner, but didn't realize the road was going to be blocked because there was a Las Catrinas Parade!Halloween is a magical time in CDMX!Cotton candy everywhere.Modelo y modeloLovelyAnd now we leave Mexico again. :(Next stop: Peru!
